  1. Bayern's schedule has been cramped up a bit. They just played about 6-7 games in about 20 days. They've lost laimer to injury and kompany is trying to get back the guys previously injured like davies, ito, moose back into his setup. From what I've seen he is also switching players constantly to avoid the disaster of last season where they had about 7-8 players (4-5 starters) injured leaving them with a bench of newbies against inter.

  2. I genuinely think one of the most important factors in the most recent games was Konrad Laimer's injury. Without him, Bayern lack that one guy who just keeps running and fighting as long as he's on the pitch. He's also the one who often covers Bayern's physically extremely weak central midfield. His absence is hurting Bayern a lot.

  3. The real issue is that even if they're dropping points, the competition isn't competent enough to pick them up
Dorkmund struggled to win 3×2 against bottom of the league Hoffenheim at home even

  4. Next best teams will adopt principles akin to match coverage defences in the NFL/NCAA. Being able to essentially drop to a zonal defence and track specific danger points as the play advances down the field.

  5. Letting your striker get dragged to your own half is actual insanity bruh.

Kompany definitely needs to go and think over his tactics, being that strict with man marking makes no sense considering Harry Kane is probably the best back striker in the world at the moment.

  6. best m2m marking job i ever saw was atalanta at anfield in the europa league. fouled the liverpool player every single time they received the ball & turned past them. ref didnt book any of them early doors so did it all game and won 3-0, most dominant an away team has been at anfield this century. it wasnt smash and grab, liverpool couldnt play football getting kicked in the air and rugby tackled every touch
