Episode Four: No Field, No Problem!
Length: 27 Minutes.
The episode features our second practice of the season. On arrival to the stadium we discover that a girls High School game is taking place on the field, and we cannot practice on it. The practice is moved to a middle school field. The field is terrible, bumpy and no grass.
Coach Green starts the practice with some fun activities. He has an epiphany, his role is not to teach these players about life, its to make them feel youthful again ! The smiles on their faces and laughter are priceless. After working on defensive drills, Coach Green ends up scrapping his practice due to the poor surface of the field and just lets the players scrimmage for the final part of the session.
After training the players and coach meet in the parking lot for their weekly ritual of beer and great conversations. Players share intimate stories about why they still play at over 50 years of age, about friendships they have forged and for some, saved their lives.
