Real Madrid were in good spirits on Saturday ahead of their latest La Liga test against Real Oviedo.
Kylian Mbappé got off to a scoring start in his second season with Real Madrid, leading the team to a 1-0 victory over Osasuna in their Spanish league opener Tuesday.
Mbappé, the leading scorer in his debut with Madrid last season, converted a 51st-minute penalty kick to give the hosts the victory. A nice run by Mbappé through the right side of the area, followed by a neat cutback move, prompted the foul.
But Sunday’s test may prove difficult according to head coach Xabi Alonso despite facing Oviedo who started their first Spanish top flight season since 2000/01 with a defeat against Villarreal last Friday.
Madrid are unbeaten in their last six games against Oviedo, winning two of their last three by a 4-0 scoreline.
