  1. In Brazil the word for team is time which is borrowed from "team" with a Portuguese orthography. It is pronounced (for English or Spanish speakers as) chimi .

  2. Yes, Let's give the ref 1 more thing to worry about? Instead of just stoping the clock. It doesn't really work tho. I'm sure TV loves it tho because it doesn't interrupt they're schedule.

  3. It's about time correct additional minutes were added on – for too long supporters have been short-changed! They pay for 90 minutes so are entitled to watch 90 minutes. Its about the only positive to come out of this dogs breakfast of a competition!! Football needs to take a lesson from how rugby operates!! Another bonus is that when there is extra time on the pitch there is less time for "experts" to prattle on in the studio!!

  4. So for instance, 3 incidences of serious injury during the period of the match would mean up to 6 minutes stoppage time. You are given a maximum of 8 minutes stoppage time. But if there are no goals, no injuries, no ejections and no indirect/direct free kicks, stoppage time may not be given. 0. So after the 45 minutes, the ref does 3 whistle blasts to end the period w/o the stoppage time given.

  5. Way too easy for refs to sway the outcome. There should be a stoppage running clock tally during the match. Then have it count down at the end. Removing the human element.
