  1. What happened to explaining the whole Bobby farewell? He’s clearly gone.

Also, Andrew was a bit harsh to the person who wrote about in Chicharito. I had major doubts about little pea coming to MLS as well. Ben (I think that’s his name) got his stats wrong but the point is still true. He’s been declining year after year. He scored 17 goals 4-5 years ago in the Bundesliga. Who cares? What has he done lately besides lose starting positions. I was not sold over his hype. A “proven goal scorer” of his supposed caliber is rather lackluster imo.

  2. So far, aside from being right, like always, on the Mexican flop at LAG, the only thing that has been pissing me off is the fact that Miami Whatever isn't taking advantage of the Pink in their kits. Where's the Pink, Miami? To me, it just looks like somebody threw a pair of very used red socks in the washer with a white kit, WTF do they call that? Whoever is responsible for the Miami kid should be fired and dropped from a helicopter into shark-infested waters. Where's the deep Flamingo Pink? At the point the only thing this pathetic team would have going for it.

  3. Article idea for you, Doyle :

Timbers want to play more attacking football. When you listen Gavin and Gio in their postseason presser, they pretty much said so- especially at PP. However, there seems to be no way for them to play such a style with Valeri as the team's lynchpin. Valeri is a direct, counter attacking savant, but poorly designed for possession/pressing dominance. Plus, there is a growing feeling here in Portland that the Timbers are becoming quite boring- especially in PP. However, I would argue that that mentality switch can't happen with Valeri and that the fanbase would go apoplectic at a Valeri benching. And so the club/Gio is caught in a no win, limbo situation.

  4. Wasn't Doyle, just last week, doubting if Pity Martinez can be a good player in this league? Now Atlanta is fine because they have Pity Martinez? Wow LOL

  5. Miami looked very good at DC. If you only look at the stats or watch the highlights you don't understand how they dominated that game. I was very skeptical of Pizarro but he played like he is taking this opportunity very seriously. Robie Robinson was a revelation. I think they should let him and Carranza fight for the CF position and spend the DP money at a different position. Robbie is tall and fast and he knows how to score. The first week he looked like a rookie but against DC he looks like he is done with rookie nerves. Once he gets a feel for his teammates I could see him scoring 10+ goals.
